What is Alcohol Flush Reaction?

What is Alcohol Flush Reaction and what are the symptoms?

Delta Nutrassentials CEO Amy Chang explains Alcohol Flush Reaction, what it is, and what is feels like.

Alcohol Flush Reaction is the primary and main indicator that a person has ALDH2 Deficiency. Approximately 40% of Asians globally have Alcohol Flush Reaction, which is also known as Asian Flush or Asian Glow.

Symptoms of Alcohol Flush Reaction include increased body temperature and flushing of the skin in the upper body torso and arms, sometimes from just one sip of alcohol. Other symptoms include mild headache, nausea and inflammation in the body.

ALDH2 Deficiency is a genetic enzyme mutation that prevents the body from properly metabolizing Acetaldehyde, a toxic byproduct of alcohol, and results in an accumulation of Acetaldehyde in the body.
